An anti-abortionist wants to bring an end to the practice of abortion. Anti-abortionists fall into two camps. Those in the first camp support the criminalization of abortion, believing this measure to be an effective way to end abortion. Those in the second camp believe that the criminalization of abortion will lead to higher abortion rates as well as other undesirable consequences such as life imprisonments, and possibly even capital punishment, for those distressed women who choose to abort. Those in the second camp recommend the availability of birth control and sex education as an effective method for ending abortion while maintaining abortion's legality.
