<b>Awashonks</b> (also called Awashunckes or Awasoncks) was a female sachem, or chief, of the Sakonnet tribe in Seconet, Rhode Island. She signed the Plymouth Agreement of 1671. She supported Metacomet during King Phillip's War, but later made peace with the English people|English colonists. Her husband was Tolony, and her children were Mamanewa and Tatuckamna.
