Horn-rimmed glasses are a type of glasses with characteristic projections at the top of each side. These glasses began to be popular in the 1910s and 1920s, and were a standard for many decades. Some styles of glasses, particularly sunglasses, still remain popular, albeit with much less obvious 'horns'. The term "to wear a pair of Horn-rimmed glasses" can also refer to the sexual arousal of a human male. They can be seen frequently in the work of Cartoonist Gary Larson.
