Jody Diamond is an United States of America|American composer, performer, writer, publisher, editor, and educator. She specializes in new music for the Indonesian gamelan and is considered an international expert on the subject. She is a co-founder, co-director, and principal editor of Frog Peak Music, a composers' collective based in the U.S. state of New Hampshire. She also founded and directs the American Gamelan Institute and edits its journal, Balungan. She has created numerous works for gamelan, often in combination with Western instruments, and performs with Gamelan Son of Lion. Diamond has taught at Dartmouth College, the University of California, Berkeley, Mills College, Goddard College, Bates College, Franklin Pierce College, and Monash University in Australia. She is married to the composer Larry Polansky.
