LIFE is the United Kingdom|UK's largest charity specialising in pregnancy and abortion counselling. LIFE was founded in 1969 by Jack Scarisbrick and his wife. The organization's goals include:

  • Opposing abortion, and lobbying politically aginst legal abortions

  • Offering moral and financial support to young women dealing with unplanned pregnancy

  • Providing post-abortion counselling

  • Running hospices for seriously ill babies

  • Giving talks and running seminars in schools on such topics as abortion, teenage sexual health, Interpersonal relationship|relationships, cloning and In vitro fertilisation.


LIFE operates through more than 130 Care Centres in the UK which provide conselling, free pregnancy tests, and educational resources.
