Living Beyond Breast Cancer
(LBBC), based outside
Philadelphia in the United States, is a national
nonprofit organization with the mission of empowering all women affected by
breast cancer to live as long as possible with the best quality of life. As an education and support organization, the organization???s goal is to help all women affected by breast cancer take an active role in their ongoing recovery or management of the
disease, regardless of educational background, social support or financial means.
LBBC is nationally recognized for the quality of its educational programs. The organization calls on many volunteers, including the world???s foremost
health care professionals, who generously donate their time and expertise so the organization can offer its services at low or no cost. As of 2007, LBBC had received Charity Navigator???s highest 4-star rating for sound fiscal management for three years in a row.
