That Mary Kingsley and Mary St Leger Kingsley are two different people! --> Lucas Malet is the pseudonym (pen-name) of Mary St Leger Kingsley (June 4, 1852-1931), Victorian novelist. She was the daughter of Charles Kingsley, author of The Water Babies. In 1876 she married William Harrison, Minor Canon of Westminster, and Priest-in-Ordinary to the Queen.
She also completed her father's unfinished novel The Tutor's Story.
