The National Right to Life Committee is a right to life/pro-life organization, that was founded in June 1973 in response to the United States Supreme Court|US Supreme Court Roe v. Wade decision. While Roe v. Wade had been based on a legal principle of an individual's right to privacy, "right to lifers" argue that such is superseded by a moral principle in support of life. The organization was founded in Detroit as a non-sectarian, non-partisan group, opposed to abortion, euthanasia and infanticide. The founding members included leaders in fields of science, religion, law, ethics and medicine. There are over 3,000 chapters in all 50 states and DC. http://www.nrlc.org/ Official Website Category:Abortion Category:Pro-life Organizations Category:Political advocacy groups in the United States org-stub This article is licensed under the GNU Free Documentation License.
