Sex cord-stromal tumours are a group of sex cord ovarian neoplasms which accounts for 8% of all reported cases.

This group consists of the neoplastic proliferations of:
  • granulosa (granulosa cell tumours)

  • theca (thecomas)

  • Sertoli cell|Sertoli and Leydig cell|Leydig cells (Sertoli-Leydig cell tumours)

  • fibroblasts (fibroma)

These tumours tend to be functioning and, by producing estrogens or androgens, may have dramatic clinical presentations.

Almost all are unilateral.
