Wilhelmina Cooper was a supermodel who founded in 1967 the famous Wilhelmina modeling agency of New York City.
Along with the Ford Modeling Agency, it was one of the two leading model agencies for many years before Elite and other agencies began. It is now part of Click and Wilhemina and has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami.
She was famous for working hard and knowing everyone in the fashion industry. She died prematurely of cancer.
She was a resident of New York City and Wilton, Connecticut.
