A labium (plural is labia) is any of four folds of tissue of the female external genitalia:

  • The left labium majorum

  • The right labium majorum

  • The left labium minorum

  • The right labium minorum


The labia are considered to be part of the vulva.

Both the labia majora and labia minora have anterior commissures and posterior commissures.
